This is a permanent, part-time position to provide program and staff support to the non- profit, Richmond County Partnership for Children (RCPC).
The position requires the ability to work effectively with parents, child care providers, and the community.
The Family Support Partner (FSP) supports and educates Richmond County about the services and resources available at RCPC.
The FSP can articulate lessons learned from their knowledge working with parents and caretakers of young children with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES).
The FSP is responsible for clerical support to enable the efficient and effective functions of family support programs including Circle of Parents and Reach Out and Read.
Occasional evening or weekend work is required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Coordinate referrals to services and related agencies to meet the needs identified.
Assist with identifying and establishing natural and professional supports in the community.
o Complete all consumer-related and program-related paperwork according to established timelines.
Thoroughly explain policies and procedures as it relates to services, programs, and funding sources.
o Maintain contact with families to a degree sufficient to monitor and assist progress toward identified goals.
o Encourage, model, and coach appropriate early childhood practices, parenting skills, and behavior management/modification techniques.
o Develop a personal knowledge of topics related to parent requests using literature, personal contacts, electronic resources, and professional development.
Share information and resources regarding developmental milestones.
o Work with families in an empathic, professional, and objective manner.
o Collaborate and meet with other child and family service providers to coordinate services to improve outcomes and strive to eliminate stigma and discrimination o Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate program and consumer needs that include evenings and weekends at the direction of the Executive Director.

2022 o Participate in training opportunities to maintain individual and organizational competency in assigned areas of responsibility.
This includes demonstrating consistently updating knowledge and skills relevant to position responsibilities; and attending in-services, conferences, workshops, and required agency meetings as appropriate.
o Attend staff meetings, and coordinate services with other RCPC staff as necessary.
Other Duties:
o Collaborate on program development and evaluation efforts in the community.
o Participate in all activities of the Partnership that include, but are not limited to board meetings, committee meetings, contract reviews, events sponsored by the agency or other community agencies, and training and conferences deemed important to the function of the job.
o Represent RCPC to the community through participation in events, and in collaborative workgroups, as needed positively and appropriately.
o Any other projects, tasks, or assignments considered necessary for the well-being of the agency or that fall within the professional development or interest of the employee.

Specific Requirements:
o Education and/or
Experience:
Associate's Degree preferred, High SchoolDiploma Required.
o At least 2 years relevant experience working with children and families.
o High working Knowledge and proficiency utilizing PC-based tools (MicrosoftOffice Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
o Ability to build comfortable working relationships with funded programs, community members, volunteers, and other professionals.
o Strong organizational skills and initiative; capacity to accept and follow through on assigned responsibility with minimal guidance.

o Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality relative to families and early child care programs served.
o Exhibit a thorough knowledge of the organization's goals and mission as well asRCPC services.
o Must be able to handle special event logistics.
Must have the flexibility to juggle several projects different simultaneously.
o Desirable, but not mandatory:
the ability to understand and communicate in written and spoken Spanish.
Certifications, Licenses:
(a) Valid driver's license (b) proof of vehicle insurance, and (c) and have reliable transportation.
